BUT I was successful. I told my son, an artsie filmmaker (who got an A in astronomy and was asked to change majors to science but that's another story), and HE saw it. he was on campus and saw a telescope that was practically abandoned. He got a good look.
I'm proud.

I saw the whole thing, John, at several different magnifications. Mercury moved pretty fast. Met several new neighbors who were driving by and stopped to see, including a couple who work for JPL.
