Default Remembering the Honda S2000 Memories on this 4th of July.

Mot too many of you still drive one, but this forum keeps us together and the memories of our old little sports cars. Too bad, It sure was fun to drive that car while it lasted I had some really great times in that car. Bought my original 2000 Berlina Black in November 99 and my 06 Laguna Blue in November 05. Went on many meets up Angeles Crest and other routes, some of which I hosted with BBQ's in my backyard. Car shows. Fun times in days past. I loved those little cars. Don't get me wrong, I love my Crystal Red C7 M7 Stingray Vette vert with Kalahari interior. Great power, handling, styling, and road comfort. It's a real load. It has so much power that I always have to be very careful when I drive it. But I still miss the small size, high revving, and tossability of my S2000s. There will always be a fondness in my heart for those cars and those memories. For me. those were the good old days!

Reading your version of this in the forum RB, I see a lot of people tell the story of their purchases

I was not sure what car I was looking for but we had just returned a leased Lexus GS and I needed a replacment we were in WA and had taken a to the Tri - Cities where we lived before Redmond / Sammamish , drove a TT & wasn't really impressed then saw the VMOM sitting out front at the Honda Dealership across the road, went over & took it for a
came back & called ALL the H Dealers up in our area and NONE had a Spa, only Silverstone's and such
decided I really loved that color so we said we'll take it!

I drove it home where our oldest ( then High School Senior ) was having some over for a BBQ, I parked on the driveway went in and called him out front pretending he was in trouble he came out there and was like then the all came out and were like Daing your mom's got a ride!

That was 2001 but didn't really know of s2ki till the following year when that had gotten onto the HWY and accidentally saw the Seattle group on a Group he said " mom there must be a Club or something? " later I found them and the rest is Momstory
& yeah my came up with the VTECMOM Plate

I have such fond memories of the S as well. There are only two in town (my old Suzuka and a silverstone) but the olther day I saw an NFR and it took me back. There are times when I miss the camaraderie that came with group drives and well, everything is temporary and that’s okay.

Raptor, I first met you at one of the Angeles Crest drive. Too bad it was the only one as I shortly moved to Norcal for a new job.
A lot of us have moved on to other cars but we will always hold special memories of the S2000
