so i have a question.. instead of buying regular roller blades... like the ones with big wheels.. i bought really aggressive blades instead..with the small wheels.. and i have no brakes.. so i'm trying the drag my leg behind to stop method.. or i just crash when i want to stop... any other ideas??

right now, slide stop !!!
The thing is people will say that you don't have the skill to do that yet. NOT TRUE, you just have to control your speed better. Don't skate faster than you are capable of stopping. I know SF is very hilly and that may be hard. I truly believe the place to learn to skate in on smooth, level ground such as a tennis court or outdoor roller hockey rink. Once you are decent there, then venture down the street or out on the boardwalk, etc.
How many wheels per blade do you have??
lastly, you can always go to the skate shop and have a heel brake put on for $8 or something.
