Right now I just got off the phone with my father and am once again amazed at real estate prices in California. They refi'd their house a little over a year ago and it appraised for just south of 300k. Apparently a house just like theirs was just put on the market and is listed at 380k. I will probably never move back to Cali unless I want to live in a mobile home.
