Right Now XIV
Right now also the fact street cops don't make a whole lot more than I do and I don't want to go through another academey, probation period, have to take another polygraph test, or deal with victims of domestic violence and abuse.

Right now that's one of the reasons why I will probably not become a street cop like I had originally planned. Even good people will lie to avoid trouble (I've lied to cops before

Right now as far as work goes, I really enjoy working at the jail. You get to meet all sorts of weird people and see weird stuff everyday.

Right now no it does not, but I believe honesty is the best policy. I've been pulled over about 10 times in my driving history. Only once did I lie and that was to an Air Force MP on Hickam AFB in Hawaii. (do military police really count?
) I told him I thought I had come to a complete stop.

Right now the only time I got a ticket was the last time I was pulled over. It was for doing 70 in a 35 across the Warren Ave bridge in Bremerton. I had just finished the second to the last week of the academy when the WSP nailed me. The first thing the trooper asked me was "do you want to go to jail?"
That would have sucked missing the last week of the academy because I went to jail.
It would be interesting explaining that one to my department. I was honest with the trooper and told him I had a tough week and was just blowing off some steam and I admitted what I had done was stupid. He gave me a 2nd degree negligent driving ticket which carries a fine of around $600. Because it was my first ticket, I plead guilty (because I was) and paid a $200 admin fee and as long as I had no more moving violations for the next year, it would go off my record. It's been over a year now.
