Right Now XIV
[QUOTE=BBY2KS2K,Nov 27 2006, 04:45 PM] Right now I disagree. LEO's go through extensive firearms training and retraining. But all the training in the world; be it classroom or field training can't prepare you for when the shit hits the fan. In the field you get a split second to recognize the danger, weigh your options, make a decision, and act on it. I'm certain the shooting wasn't under "ideal" conditions. From the preliminary reports, it doesn't sound good for the officers involved. But I'll reserve judgement until I hear all sides.

Right now officers are quite surprised when they show up for a shooting competition where they have to compete with the public. They loose pretty handedly. I've seen my 14 year old nephew humiliate a group of officers who were talking BIG until even a kid made them look bad.

Right now we are all not great shots. I personally suck at small arms, but give me a rifle and I do okay.

Mom wouldn't let him have a gun as a kid.

1st amendment ... teach them to speak freely.
2nd amendment ... teach them to bite if someone doesn't allow you to speak freely.
