good little read/reference. I agree that $700 is a lot for a computer display, but for me it's something I spend a lot of time looking at/dealing with, so the cost is somewhat justified to get a nicer product...and I also want mo' inches and mo' pixels without sacrificing image quality or true colors-- all of which drive the price up.

On the other hand, there are plenty of 20" LCDs out there at reasonable prices (as previously mentioned, you could get two nice 20"s for the price of one nice 24"). It all comes down to what you want and how far up the priceerformance ratio scale you're willing to go.

i am looking at somewhere between 19 and 22... was looking at what to get when i upgrade my computer next year..

right now i'm looking for (based on the thread), an IPS / S-IPS monitor. i don't play games, but i do more and more work dorking around with graphics (and realizing what little talent i have for it.. )


now i need to find a good priced 19~22"
