right now, that makes lots of sense. people usually screw up the first shot (in a "relaxed" situation or otherwise), and you probably haven't got the sight picture down 100% on your gun yet.

Right now sight picture and sight alignment were MAJOR challenges for me at first. In fact, my instructor suggested I think about getting an eye exam. I had a hard time staying focused on the front sight. My eyes would go in and out of focus but as time went on it wasn't such a problem.

Right now I was so damn close. I just need some practice and fortunately as a member of the department I get free range time at Sam's in Everett. I'm going to see if I can't steal some rounds from work to practice with. If not, I'll just buy it myself and deduct it from my taxes next year.

right now free range time is sweet I'd venture a guess that it's gonna take a minimum of 100-150 rounds to get familiar with everything...probably not something you want to try and "borrow" from work

Right now the department will give you ammo to practice with if it's available. When I said "steal", I didn't mean it literally. I could lose my job for that!!!

Right now, I highly doubt the weather is the problem.
