right now they have a philips 47" 1080p lcd that's supposed to be a pretty good set...$1700 + costco customer service benefit. There are also a couple refurb philips 50" 720p plasma sets, having seen a friend's, I'm tempted to get one for the price.
1080p FTW. Why buy outdated stuff?

it's the muffkin influence! If I move to Renton, I'm gonna spend all my free time on the front porch in a rocking chair complete with shotgun.
Right now, not sure I'd want to live that far from civilization ( ) but the cost of living and commute aspects (for me, at least) certainly give it some appeal.

I'd be more inclined to do a 4:2 HDMI switch so I could have multiple displays... so each display would only need 1 HDMI.

cause it looks just as good, sometimes better (black levels and the type of content) and costs $600-700 less.
