I grew up in the midwest... I can't even begin to count the number of nights of sleep lost sitting on the patio watching lightning storms.

rite now I'm tellin ya that the best I've seen wuz in the Tri-Cities due to the hEAt of the desert we would watch it off in the distance of Walla Walla from our deck either before it hit or after it rolled thru

the weather channel would post it up as Severe Lightning Warning

fun to try n capture w/your camera if yur lucky enough too!

I recall seeing/hearing some fairly impressive stuff in VA many years ago when I was there

Lightning is better. Thunder is a byproduct.
