Right now I have a feeling a root canal will be necessary sooner than later.

Right now i say drink it! The dentist can fix the damage BTW root canals dont hurt a bit. You will be glad you got it done

 

Right now it's not the pain I fear most, but rather the hassle and cost.

 

Right now I had a crown put on my #2 molar about three years ago. About a year ago I had a severe tooth ache on that same tooth, so bad that I made an emergency visit to the dentist. Xrays and a check revealed no problems. The pain wennet away as quick as it came but now it's coming back albeit not even close to the intensity it was a year ago. Hopefully it will go back into remission until next year when I can change my dental insurance. Under my current plan, it will cost about $800 all together. Under a competing plan, it should be damn near free but I can't change plans until April.
