Right Now XXXII
Right now, I'd say the almost paralyzing effect this whole covid-19 stuff is having is worse than 9-11. It's hard to stay focused at work when it's on everyone's mind and it's all you hear about. Daily teleconferences, etc.
Right now one of our part time workers won't come in & another one is talking like they're going to sit this out (I don't blame them one bit). These are already retired people who come in and work 1-2 days a week at most. Some are alone and there would be nobody to take care of them if they were to get sick...

Injecting a little bit of humor in to this does anyone besides me at times find some of the people that are signing behind the various government officials that are speaking at the press conferences somewhat humorous? The woman that is signing during the State of New Jersey press conference is making some really funny faces. She just stuck her tongue out and made a silly face when signing something. I'm not sure if it was editorial comment or if it actually meant to convey the tone of what was being said.
I try to avoid all the news since I already get more than I want here at work, right now. My wife works from home anyway so she has too much to tell me that I don't want to hear on top of that, right now.
