Ringing the Charity Bell :dingding:
Sob story/The pitch:
Recently I had to lay off two employees and close a program that many community members call "the Free Store." People donate clothes and household items, and we make those available to the public for free. The only cost to run the program is staffing. For the last three years we've juggled shortfalls in funding to get the ~$15,000 we need in order to staff the program 12 hrs/wk. This year we just couldn't make it work. Incredibly, a community member started a GoFundMe for us with a generous donation. Even if you could consider sending $10 (that's like $874,230 in Canadian I think?) it could mean we're able to keep it open instead of closing it later this month.
