Well, the conversion is going along quite nicely. There were a few setbacks, but that was to be expected. So far, the engine mounts and crossmembers have been fab'd from ACQ aluminum, and are ready to be welded in. I'm using the IRS from a ZR1 Vette, and it turns out I'll need the ZR1 front suspension as well; no point in having 2 different bolt patterns on the same car, plus it'll be hard to calibrate the front/rear brake bias.
The engine is an '02 LS6 (Z06), and I have just basic bolt-ons: GMPP ASA cam, Crane 1.8 roller rockers, Agostino rev kit, Lingenfelter/Weiand polished aluminum intake, ported throttle body, 30lb/hr injectors, Lingenfelter long-tube headers, with 3in exhaust all the way back, with 4x9 Magnaflow Dynomax mufflers and turn downs. With that exact setup, it made 467hp and 490tq at the crank.
Kyle is still working on getting me that 100% gauge/sensor compatability. Yes, I'm using the stock S2000 gauge cluster. He's having the tach filtered to show red a bit earlier (7500rpm), and I'm putting some gauges where the radio used to be.
Also, I have BBS RG-R wheels in the diamond black finish, sized 18x8.5in up front, and 18x10.0in out back. Pilot Sport 255/40 and 295/35 tires. Also, AP brakes with slotted rotors and 6-piston front, 4-piston rear calipers. I'm still working on getting a custom set of KONI 2812 coil-overs, like I had on my S2000.
If everything else goes smoothly, I may have it done in time for Raptor's BBQ!

Actually, yes I have quite a few pics. The shop took them for their own personal use, but I'm sure they'll lend me them so I can copy the bastards. They're freakin' Polaroids!!!
BTW, I may spray it 150shot, with the nozzles installed on the underside of the intake, 100% hidden.

George, I want a McLaren F1 but it's probably not gonna happen...

But seriously, I saw one just outside my neighborhood a few weeks ago. I tried to catch up but then I remembered I was in my Bonneville.

, Alex. Keeping the gauges is really the icing on the cake.
