Tanks was a fun day, got quite chilly late so we left early, we watch the recording though as we will today, both races today
Food venues had changed a bit no Pinks dogs but King Taco is still there although I've never hit it as the only thing I would eat is a bean & cheese burrito
Fairly good cover band you would have enjoyed yesterday on the stage, a mix of artist's in their group & they sounded pretty good.
Not sure who's on the stage today we'll see?
Didn't check yesterday's band, way too crowded
such a difference from Sat food lines at every option, ended up having the pistachio's & Cracker Jacks in my back pack luckily the DUDE had no line at his lil kiosk stand upper level.
Many rednecks in the crowd but they just slide off me
I don't let them ruin my fun day
Not sure what next year will be like as the TALK of the Track conversion is still NOT confirmed.
We'll see what happens, it is nice having a great track so close to home
Good idea with a very low chance of it bearing any fruit. Having to wait until they're 21 to get behind them means not supporting the young women in ARCA and other feeder series, where they face bigger hurdles. Like Kyle Larson was already racing in the Xfinity series when he was 20, with good backing, because he was obviously good. The girls need backing when they're 17 or 18 and grinding it out in the feeder series.
what about the NHRA LG's did they have to be older or having their Dad as an in helped
Drag racing has always been an easier path for women, and not just John Force's daughters. Shirley Muldowney was kicking ass in the 70s, Erica Enders has had a really good career with a bunch of wins, there's a whole bunch of others have done great in bikes too. And the Force daughters have all done well.
