Oracle DBA.... had a last minute catestrophe.... Have to move data from newer version to older version and its not very easy.. we don't have the option to upgrade that one right now... and this had to be done like yesterday... It's 9:41pm....ugh.

 

That sucks

I haven't had any rush jobs like that for a long time now, but the last place I worked in the UK, we had a two week period where we were working about 17 hours a day 7 days a week to get a project finished !!!

And we didn't get paid overtime for it !!!!

Fortunately the bosses were pretty good and I got to take an extra week's holiday at the end of it

 

Yeah I hope at least I can come in late morning tomorrow b/c I have to meet a girlfriend for dinner and then meet the S2000 guys for happy hour... Thinking about it right now I don't even want to go...ya know?

I know that feeling .... you just want to go home and crash out after a day like that don't you !

I am doing a distance learning course at the moment which means I have to study in the evenings when I get home ..... my mind just races for hours after that and I find it very hard to get to sleep at a reasonable time ....
