I've never had a place I've called "my own"... I've rented or lived in dorms since I was 18. This November, I will have paid off one more bill and then be left with just my 1 car payment (and hopefully not too much damage from Vegas )
I just paid off Robyn's truck...the mortgage...my credit card...my back property taxes on the piece of property I still own...and I'm working my way down the list. Paying off debt is a great feeling...which is actually part of why I want to rent for a while again. I like the idea of knowing I can just walk away.

I want a motorcycle...but only if I can pay cash. I want no major outstanding debt for a few years. I'll buy (or build) a place again, but I need a break...

That said, I wish you a great deal of luck and if you need help/advice, I'm more than happy to share my experiences...of which there are many (good and bad)...

You DO realize I already ask for help/advice from you all the time right? Might be in the form of, "Hey.. we need to have a ...btw..what are your thoughts on ........"

^ Might explain why I should call Harp ahead of time to make sure they bring a few extra cases when we get there..

That's awesome about knocking out debt...... After November, the smurf will be my only debt.... I already have a seperate fund that will be used if/when the little hatchback (daily driver), finally kicks the bucket..

Looking forward to catching up in Vegas.

I need to sort out who my last few creditors are so I can sort out savings and toy purchases...

I'm SERIOUSLY considering a new Monster...though used (or even an SV650) is probably a more wise purchase...

Fun? Yes. Great? Well, as long as I ride it more responsibly than I drive minivans I think we'll be ok...

Yeah...that update practically KILLED my 3G! My 3G recently acquired a crack in the body, so no reselling it. I'll keep it around as a backup once I get a replacement. I believe my contract is up already, but I'll check...

I've contemplated owning a house only because it's hard to find rentals with large garages.

Of course I've found that purchasing a house with a large garage isn't much easier, not even factoring the royal ass raping.
