It's the same category - shit. I have no choice but to leave Apple's itunes bloatware installed, and more significantly, using memory and processor space in order to view .mov files viewable only by quicktime. At least can be removed.

Cant you get a codec to run the .mov files in another program? Perhaps something more harmful to your system..something that has virus written all over it?

I'm not aware of a .mov codec. I can probably hijack the association and let BSPlayer use the codec, but the itunes process will still auto load (and it wasn't too happy when I killed the process manually).
