Stockbroking in most places is difficult to get into unless you know people in the business or have a pretty good science background ..... the rewards can ultimately be very high, but to start with salaries can be very low indeed ......

see being close to the city is a good thing because stock broking is a big thing but once again like James said it's all about politics like everything else. You have to know someone.
