Soooo, Calgary vs. San Jose and Philly vs. Tampa.. Can someone tell me any compelling story lines, bad blood, anything!, in these 2 series? Indeed there are lots of individual accomplishments for teams that weren't expected to get this far, but I don't see the rivalry compared to other previous series..

So, what was your favourite series so far?? I would have to go with Flames and Canucks, it had everything.

I saw the hit and yelled WOW! It looked like so many other NHL hits.

It didn't seem to be 'clearly' charging, boarding or interference. Just hard. But Tuckers no rookie at the hits and he clearly wanted to shake Sami. And he sure did.

Tasteless? Yeah maybe. In a way I'm glad they did. Not to highlight the roughness of the game to appeal to the boney-browed fans; rather to illustrate how the hit hurt poor Sami. I was talking yesterday to fellow Canuck (also down here) who still plays. We agreed that we've never seen anything like that.

I am surprised though that the refs didn't halt the game. They could see Kapanen trying to get up (we couldn't) and he was clearly NOT faking it.

Can you imagine?!!! For all the hockey games I've seen in my life I never imagined seeing a playoff game much less a final. I mean c'mon... I grew up in Toronto. You need to inherit seasons tickets for cryin out loud.

Unfortunately I think the Lightning is going to be too much for Philly (Sorry again Leon). They have a solid club that is to my knowledge not injured.

You make excellent points. There is NO doubt that TB has had an easier ride in to the semi's than Philly. And... the 9 days off could be a bad thing.

I'm wavering a bit on my speculation. Without a doubt.... I'm cheering for Philly in this series.

I'm working with a couple of buddies to try to get tickets if SJ is in the finals.
