The Semi-Official Hockey Thread...
John I have some TiVo questions for you
we are moving soon and going to be unplugged for quite some time...will we lose our saved shows? and what about all the programming data? do I need to redo all the season passes to update the new cable system??

I dunno... did I? I did just watch it but it's not taped. It was on TiVo. I probably deleted but I'm not sure.
HOW COULD YOU DELETE THAT CUDE WIDOW FACE????

Nope... everything on there (saved shows) will stay on there. It's just a Linux box so this stuff can just be considered saved data. You could save a bunch of shows and take it to the north pole to watch them.

Interesting question. Your seasons passes will all be saved but if you're with a new cable provider it may need to reestablish the timing. I think it will work without a problem.
There's a pretty good forum (much like this one but it needs a "corner") called TiVo Community. I'd pose the q there.
Let me know what happens.
