I'd do that. Arnott has been slumping a bit of late.

I'd recommend only using Stastny in home games though. The disparity between his home and road numbers is significant.

Our free agent pool for forwards is huge. I was pushing for 9 F, 4 D, 2 G slots, with 3 open positions. We went with 6/3/2. There are too many good forwards on every team, so the F position is basically closed to trades.

Since there are only about 20 good D-men and 8 or 9 good goalies, it's really hard to get trades going. I gave up Phaneuf to get Alfredsson (who is having an awesome season), but it would have been a lot easier to make up Alfredsson's points than Phaneuf's.

i see your point. in my league, trades are extremely rare. i've put together a couple player packages to try to get datsyuk, and the guy wont even respond. the only way significant players move is if someone gets tired of someone slumping, and drops them. you're right about the lack of solid blue line production.

Trades are pretty rare in our league too. I think there were 7 total so far. Most of them not very good.

Sorry, 4 trades.

Dec 26 8:45am
Alexander Ovechkin (Was - F)
Marian Gaborik (Min - F)
Dominik Hasek (Det - G)
For:
Joe Thornton (SJ - F)
Nicklas Lidstrom (Det - D)
Evgeni Nabokov (SJ - G)

Dec 5 6:33am
Eric Staal (Car - F)
Rick DiPietro (NYI - G)
For
Vincent Lecavalier (TB - F)

Jaromir Jagr (NYR - F)
Dion Phaneuf (Cgy - D)
Martin Biron (Phi - G)
For
Daniel Alfredsson (Ott - F)

Oct 24 4:29pm
Lubomir Visnovsky (LA - D)
Niklas Backstrom (Min - G)
For
Dany Heatley (Ott - F)
Brian Campbell (Buf - D)

The Alfredsson trade was mine... I wanted to drop Jagr but he's on the can't cut list ( ). Biron had fallen off, so it was basically Phaneuf for Alfredsson.
