I'm telling you that I replaced this hose less than a year ago, so I'm not sure why it failed again. I need to do further investigation, but the first step is fixing the immediate problem.

I'm suggesting that typically hoses only need to be replaced when they show visual signs of cracking or are no longer flexible...

i'm wondering if the hose is near anything hot or exposed to elements that would speed up the wear process.



on a totally different note..i picked up some tiny crap laptop from my friend for $300 some gateway POS

I'm letting you know that this particular hose is sort of a "cap" on an unused coolant outlet in the back of the engine and is prone to damage from a leaking sensor o-ring just above it. That o-ring was replaced sometime since I repaired the problem the last time, so it is possible that it damaged it and caused it to prematurely wear again...
