I'm saying that I would agree with you, however, my spare tire had just enough air to get to the corner gas station last night.

I'm reminding myself to stop on the way home and buy some Fix A Flat.
I'm saying I read in "Under the Hood" (I think) that fix-a-flat may throw off the balance in your tire which could force you to replace it.

Full size spare?... mine's one of those compact spares.

I'm saying that using fix-a-flat almost guarantees you'll need a new tire... a lot of places won't patch a tire that's been "fixed" because the stuff is so nasty to clean out. The point of fix-a-flat is to get you to where you need to be, just like the donut spare - except it's lighter and smaller.
