I'm happy to report that this week I work 4 days, then am off for 4 days, then work for 3 days, then off for 3 days, work for 3 days then off for 4 days!

Hmmm, we did give him a bath 3 weeks ago I wonder if he is having a reaction to that? I am happy that it is growing back

I'm saying that may well be it. Did you use a different soap/shampoo than you have in the past? Have you changed his diet? These are two things that can trigger such reactions...
