I’m thinking I am overdue.

 

I’m noticing that a number of people I know have kiddos graduating from high school this year.

 

I'm confirming that my nephew just graduated college, a bit older than high school kids. I attended his ceremony with my mother and my one remaining sister. We are very proud of him given the difficult cards life has dealt him - lost his father at 3 months old, and his mother in 2022, no siblings. He only has myself, my mother, and my remaining sister for support.

 

I’m saying that I just got back from my friends daughters high school graduation party.

I'm working on a diplomatic way to bring up work concerns.

 

I'm also noting I have zero interest in returning to managing people and that providing supports to folks with severe mental health and/or substance use issues is much easier.
