I'm adding that wearing masks is a cultural thing within China/Korea/Japan, but that's largely because the air quality is so atrocious that a mask actually helps. I suspect there's a lot of thought processes like "oh, this thing is from China, and they all wear masks, I should probably wear one too" which is fundamentally wrong.

But then you have so much conflicting info that people just shrug and continue doing it.

 

I'm rather annoyed that less than 24 hours after confirming my laptop replacement would take place on schedule, it was canceled, so I'm stuck WFH with this slow POS. My coworker whose renewal was a week earlier not only got a new one, but he got a significantly upgraded version that is powerful enough for our jobs, but the upgrades were nixed too (cost savings as we hemorrhage money).

(and yes I know this is trivial in the grand scheme of things... just frustrating timing)
