I'm saying you have your slum landlord leave your business without heat for three weeks running and have them say on the phone "I'm done dealing with you....your on your own..you fix the heat!" and see how calm you are

 

I'm suggesting you get quotes for the repairs. Fax her the HIGHEST quote and inform her that you will be reducing your rent payments until you have recovered the costs of the repair.

 

I'm saying been there done that....you obviously have not dealt with a slum landlord who has never worked a day in his life....didnt pay for theses buildings... so has no cost bases...they live in a state of disrepair ...and his best tenant (US,we have been renting for 30 years ,and pay EVERY month on time!) We obviously are a liability to them...they would rather have the building sit empty and rot (the empty store next to us..has been empty for 12 years!!) and declare a tax loss...this is the mentality we are dealing with!


I'm saying I'm sorry for the rant but me getting worked up is the ONLY heat we have in here!
