I'm wondering why my mother insists on calling me from her cell phone from places where she KNOWS she doesn't get enough reception for me to understand more than every 5th word or so?!

I'm new to this thread. 
I'm fortunate to have met a few of these friendly folks(including brantshali) in person. I'm looking forward to following these threads and posting a bit more while work is slow during the holiday season. I'm admitting that I'm quite possibly developing an addiction to this site and these entertaining ramblings.
