I'm telling you that's not really an option in this instance. First, this phone issue isn't with me, but with my parents' phone. Second, cell phone coverage here where my parents live is inconsistent and this is NOT acceptable as a sole solution, so we need to keep a land line.

As it happens, however, I have the same problem at my place, so I have to have a landline there since my calls to my cell phone frequently drop when I'm at home...
