I'm awake obscenely early for yet another conference call. This is getting to be a REALLY bad habit!

 

I'm amazed at how benign it felt to sign on all the dotted lines for the house yesterday.

 

I'm anticipating a relatively smooth closing this afternoon. Just waiting for the seller to sign and the escrow company to file the papers so I can officially call myself a homeowner.

 

I'm expecting the sellers to rent the house back from me for about a week. Their rent for that week will cover about half my mortgage for the month.

 

I'm hoping to be in the house by the 6th of May.

I'm saying that's awesome.
Although I'm glad I bought my house, I sometimes wish I still had a landlord who was responsible for fixing stuff!

 

I'm starting to get excited. Robyn asked me yesterday if I was excited and I told her I would be as soon as I could get inside the house and start tearing out carpets, painting and doing all the other projects I want to do in the house.

 

I'm noticing Brant's spending a lot of time in this thread today!

 

I'm telling you that the fixing stuff part is what excites me about owning this cool old house.
