I'm saying a typical exchange.....
Customer: can you give me a discount on these protractors, I need a lot..I need a "bulk" discount!
Me: I would be happy to..they retail for $0.49 cents..how many do you need?
Customer: Oh I need a lot...like 35
Me: Hmmm quick math..ok so you are talking about a $17.00 sale...cut my margin a bit...trim the fat...I can give you them for $0.45 each!
Customer: [bitching and moaning] but Staples has them for ohh say.. $0.35 each! Cant you match that? [/bitching and moaning]
Me: well if you needed a lot I could give you a "bulk" discount
Me: oh and by the way Staples is 2 miles down to the right..you cant miss it!
Customer: but Staples has crappy import cheaper ones and I like yours better! They are better quality.
