I'm considering that option I like it!...the thing that really burns me up is ..we always start off with a low wage as a trial period..see if they like the job and if they are competent..after 3-6 months we give a hefty first raise to bring them in line..this is always spelled out....now a cranky employee has revisionist history and forgot she AND others got the same dollar raise, back when they made it through the trail period!! So what I have to go and open the pay register and remind them they got the same friggen raise!

I'm not opposed to talking about pay to other employees though. I'm thinking as long as it is ranked to performance, there is nothing to be pissed about.

Not that what they are doing necessarily means they should be paid a lot, but the lower the job, the lower the pay, the more disgruntled.
