I'm wondering if a universal gift card (like AmEx) but printed with a specific merchants logo would be better overall.

I'm saying Amex is the scourge of the small merchant! None of us take it unless you are a restaurant and have to. They like to think they are more important the V/MC and charge a higher %

I was just using that as an example.

The big hurdle would be the printing charges and minimum quantity.
