I'm letting Mikey know that we dropped out YP ads years ago-simply could not justify the $3K per month/per book ad rates.

I'm thinking we need to do the same thing. The rates keep going up (they must be hurting!) I'm just not sure NO ONE uses the YP anymore.

I'm looking at 2 different YP books right now sitting across from me-I honestly don't remember the last time I looked for any info in them.

I'm thinking the only case I can think of people using the YP these days, is out of town shoppers visiting relatives, friends, etc. And that is a fair amount of biz for us.

What size ad do you have? Full/half/quarter?

I'm saying the smallest box they offer BUt due to the interesting diverse demographics of the metro Philly area we are in 9 phone books with that ad!

Why not try this-in 4 of the books (picked randomly), just do the free line that you get, and keep the other 5 ads. If your sales drop significantly, then next year, buy the same box.

If the sales stay the same/ or increase/or your COG goes down so that you MAKE more $$, next year, cut out 1or2 of the remaining ads?

I'm saying we only get a free add in our home county book. One out of nine.
