I'm going to work out a budget.
I'm reminding C1 to include my Christmas & birthday gift(s) in your budget.

I'm done unloading 200 sq. ft. of solid black granite for the new kitchen floor.

31 lbs per package x 40 = 1240 lbs and a sore back.

I'm suggesting that next time you try Manuel labor instead of manual labor...

I'm noting that when considering spending significant amounts of money, I'd rather lay out the budget than scramble.

I'm wondering how these people on HGTV's "Designed To Sell" installed solid granite countertops for $1,000.

I'm thinking that's just the 'installation' cost.

I'm wondering what size the counter was? Was it good quality granite? Did they self-install? Was the granite in large chunks (such as a whole length of counter) or was it more like large "tiles" of granite? Often, material in smaller sizes comes cheaper, because it can be taken from the "leftover" from a larger job...

I'm saying you could call it an average size kitchen; not huge and not small either. It was solid granite, not tiles. They had it installed by the contractors that did the other work on the house.

I'm saying if I could get counter tops for $1,000 I'd buy one happy mofo.
