I'm tempted by the South Beach diet. . . but everything I've heard about it is that it's very close to the Harvard diet, which is dangerously close to common sense.
I'm clarifying that South Beach is not a diet per se because it can never end once you move on to it later phases....yes it is common sense once the dietary guidelines are followed and take hold in your brain so you keep eating healthy.

If you go back to your bad habits, the pounds WILL COME BACK.......common sense.

I'm back from running several errands...including driving the Mercedes to the shop (yes, it's under the weather, too) and taking a friend to the airport...

I'm thinking the best thing to do is to cut out sugar... unless it's the naturally occurring stuff found in fruits. Yum.

I'm saying, nope!!

You need that book, girl. No sugar of ANY kind in the first two weeks, so very few fruits are OK.........
