D8, you need to keep Tenup in the loop so she can take the credit for your hard work if the project goes well. That is what being a manager is about. Also, she (they?) need to be in the loop so they know who to blame should the project go poorly. And, as an added bonus, they can dump all the shit work on you since you're tied to another project!
