I'm listening to "A History of Lovers" on KEXP.org

 

I'm explaining that it relates to bus riders getting the shaft in favor of the asshats who drive to an event where the city/organizers tell people not to drive to.

 

I'm noting that that sounds like Seattle area public transit status quo.

 

I'm aware of that and still annoyed about it.

 

I'm stating you have my sympathies. . . I couldn't believe the flack I began reading about when they wanted to put in the commuter train and light rail.

 

I'm noting that this city needs to decide if it wants to be a car city or a transit city. Right now nobody can decide so we sit in a standstill (literally and figuratively). If we're a car city, we need some excise taxes to pay for 99, I5, 405, 520 bridge, I90, etc... If not, the city needs to make the transit system work better for the people who choose to use it.

 

I'm noting that Washington politics are too bi-polar to allow any execution of any plan effectively.
