I'm thinking the local forum has been semi overrun by n00bs
To some degree, yes. There seems to be a handful of enthusiastic people who want to drives and gatherings. There also seems to be a handful of idiots. The overlap of the two groups could be problematic, but we'll see.

Darwin to the rescue!
I'm pointing out to Collin that I stuck my neck out to plan 3-5 drives this summer, and I have to deal with the potential for an inexperienced moron with a big ego (Greenie?) coming along and ****ing things up for the group as a whole. When I lead I tend to drive at about 7/10-8/10 of my ability (which is about 6/10-7/10 in terms of what an S2000 with good tires and brakes can be), but I've found over the years that 7/10 is WAY over some people's ability.
