Kyoto rocks, been there done that! I'm a huge fan of Japanese architecture and gardens and Kyoto has some of the best.

I really do enjoy visiting Kyoto.. I think we're going to spend a day or two in the Osaka/Kyoto area. It's been a while since I've been there... I don't remember how to get anywhere anymore...

Some great temples and gardens in Kyoto ... are you going to stay in a ryokan? takes a little getting used to, but really gives you the Japanese atmosphere

that's funny you would mention the ryokan... cheryl and i are looking for a good ryokan to stay at when we are there. do you have any recommendations?

I've only been there once .... stayed at a place that was recommended through the Japanese tourist board (or whatever they are called there). Was very good and the person running it spoke enough English to help us get by. Have OBSOLUTELY no recollection of what it was called or where it was though I'm afraid
