I'm salaried too....it has its good and bad....

 

Unfortunately, my workload and the time I spend here aren't related. If trucks show up and we have good weather on a saturday, I work saturday, even if (like this week) I did 10 hours of work the whole week.

 

i think in the 4 days i was at work, i was at 4 different locations (i usually never leave my dept.), and have over 100 pieces of email that i haven't done followup on.. (usually that's closer to 5)

 

Slacker.

 

i liked it better when s2ki > work (like my saturdays used to be)

now i'm getting my ass kicked left and right...


although, having said that, i'm in a happy place today....
(not at work !!!!!!!)

 

Technically we can be paid for OT but it's rarely approved. Besides, I think sometimes for our own well-being it's better to have the time off instead of the money...Even though often we don't take our flex time because that means we just get further behind.

 

i think i'll like being exempt someday... living by the timecard sucks
