what are you shopping for?

i got a gift card as a thank you gift for fixing my friends laptop.. which turned into a SB-600 flash... have you used flash before? It's waaaaay confusing... bouncing light off the walls and stuff... lots of neat effects... but tough to control..

I'm looking at a Manfrotto 498RC4 ballhead with a 055XPROB leg setup
I still haven't gotten that 50mm 1.8 lens and I need a tripod, and a flash, and . . .

If you remember I've got a Nikon D80 but before I start buying a bunch of stuff I am debating if I want to stay with Nikon or switch to Canon.

Reason for switching? Just wondering.

That's what I need - a kitty that will do my laundry for me. And cook, and clean...

Peer pressure mostly. Most of my friends shoot Canon and I'm constantly getting harassed by them I'm about 97% sure that I will stick with Nikon. At some point I will upgrade the body though, maybe when I start shooting more.

The Canon vs Nikon thing has been going on for a long time and will continue to for a long time more.

Totally agree...I went with the camera that felt good in my hands and the rest is history.
