Default Sensible S2000 question..... sorry.....

I was wondering if anyone can give me the definitive suspension set up details of the MY '02 ??

I am just about to take mine in for its service and to get some minor stuff done and would like to get the suspension settings updated at the same time. I know from experience in Japan that just to say I want the revised settings is going to be no good. I am going to have to give them full details of what the revised settings are, even though they should know anyway!!!

Thanks guys.......

Are they in the manual or printed anywhere that you know of on the car?

I could check my car tonight and let you know if they are.

I can't find them in the manual (which is in Japanese anyway!!). I found some details in the UK Forum, but I can't find anything that definitively says that they have changed from MY 00/01 to MY 02.

I have read through loads of the crap on the UK forum, which doesn't really come to any conclusion.

The Honda garage here, which specialises in S2000's, Type R's and NSX's (so you have to assume they know roughly what they are talking about??) says they don't know anything about a change in the specs for Japanese cars..... so no change to my suspension set up ........

I know one difference is that the MY02 have thinner anti-roll bars and from what I've been told gives a little more body roll so that the back end isn't so unstable in the wet, if I find the article I'll post it here for you.

That is one of the things that I have heard but have not been able to confirm....... the people that I have heard of say that turn in is sharper (though how that can be I don't know?!?! ) and that it "feels more stable"......

I was just thinking that it would be worth getting them to update the set up if it was just a case of adjustment, but it doesn't seem that easy!

Cheers though Pete

James-

Wouldn't it be much simpler just to trade your S in on a new Geo Metro?

Not here it wouldn't George, I don't think that the Japanese import the Geo Metro......

I was thinking of trading it in for a Mustang though... there are loads of those over here .......
