the wifey and I made a trip up there about 1-1/2 yrs ago to the Winchester mansion...

 

I DO live near San JOSEY. Work even closer. It's about 40 minutes south of me.

I'm East Bay so we have plenty o' hils for Mtn biking. I rarely go. I drive the S or I hike.

 

.. I was kinda let down. You hear 'mansion' and you expect something like Hearst Castle. To me, it was kinda like a farm house that just kept going!

 

I haven't been yet. Tons of stuff you're supposed to do here thaat I haven't yet.

 

We had a much better time up at Fisherman's wharf. Of course, its a big crowd scene and expensive as all hell... especially the parking.

The reason I ask is cause Wantone was gonna try to set up something for me to get to see some of the Bay Area Gang next week while Im down for Christmas I sent him a PM W/some details but haven't heard back yet. I know he's gonna be leaving on Friday I think so I will miss meeting him I may be drivin the S too so if that happens I would Love to get a shot with some of the Bay Area Cars to bring home. Hope theres no Snow in the mountains
