Yes very sad about the firefighter losing his life. Lots in the papers here about it... he was from the BA.

Looks like the fires are nearly out. Just a little bit left in Simi and near Lk Arrowhead.

Cedar is out! My boys are in the clear. :whew:

The fires are nowhere out. Simi/Val Verde 60% contained, Grand Prix/Old 75/15% contained, Piru 30% contained, Cedar 38% contained, Paradise 30% contained. These fires will be burning well into next week.

Really!? That's weird... the Forest Service Site shows them out. I completely believe you... you're much closer to the action but where is this info coming from... it's obviously better than the FS Site.
