According to Mitch, it's highly appropriate - "you drive your car like it's a two-speed"


Interesting anecdote... on at least 3 occasions, I had an older person stop alongside at a light and say something to the effect of "I like your plate! Do you do that?" After a moment of confusion, I realize they're asking if I'm a reverend. I usually just say yes and drive away.
