Not much up Charlie ..... had a pretty good weekend even though the weather was REALLY crap ..... got a public holiday tomorrow, so today is a "fake friday"

Just been invited to my first formal event at the British Embassy, where I will meet the British Ambassador and the Japanese Emperor's sister

I'm well today, James. A very, very bad week at work (last week), but I'm hoping to try and straighten things out with my manager tomorrow. We are on totally different wavelengths though.. Ugh...

But the weekend has been great.

Cool on the Embassy event, James. How'd you get invited to something like that? Do you know these people?

 

I am the President of the Royal Society of St George, which is a society that raises money for charity, one of the charities that we raise money for is celebrating its 30th anniversary and the embassy (read British tax payer ) are throwing a party in celebration. Our Society is the largest donator to this charity, so I get an invite that way .....

Hope things get sorted at work Charlie ......

I am getting seriously bored at work now Charlie .... I am pressing hard for them to get a replacement for me here so I can get on with my career again ..... The person that was going to be offered the job here has just resigned, so we are now looking for someone new ..... ..... hopefully we can get this sorted for early next year still though ......

Thanks for that Charlie .... I was kind of roped in to taking on the role, but when I thought about it, I thought it was a good way to give back something after having a pretty good life style for the last few years ..... it is nice to feel that you can do something to help others .....

And no. I don't think I would get an invite to things like this if they new half about my lifestyle and everything ....
