So you start with your wheels behind the line, but finish when the front of the car crosses the line?
And this means you aren't doing the full quarter mile.....
Why not go for a 2-3 foot spoiler on the front?!?! by my reckoning that should give you something like .036 of a second.....

That's right, your front tires activate the first lights and the front of the car sets off the lights at the end to give you your time.
I'm hoping to build a front spoiler just like you have said. That way I'll have a much better time. I actually picked up the wood for it this weekend, I figured I would make it out of pine because it's fairly light and easy to work with, plus if I give it a good stain people will think that I've used a top quality wood similar to the walnut that is found in the top luxury cars!
