I need to check our company handbook, because I think I should get an extra week soon as well
Does this mean you will get 5 weeks "holiday" every year from now on, or just next year? In this company in Japan every 10 years you get an additional 2 week "holiday" that year. Whereas in my UK/HK company we get 4 weeks per year as standard, and then after 10 years we move on to 5 weeks, and after 20 years we move on 6 weeks .... I think ...
My brain just exploded...

James, it means that, starting next October (15 years with my company), I begin to acrue vacation days at a rate of 5 weeks a year. Currently, I acrue at 4 weeks per year.
That'll be nice; not that I can really use the vacation I get already!
